Christmas Banner

Happy Thursday, friends! I'm spoiling myself by spending time playing challenges- gotta' love it! My card today is for the CAS-ual Friday challenge to use Banners or Flags (CFC67)

and the CAS FTL#205 to use the sketch below.

My card's glitter glue, dazzling diamonds, stickles & glossy accents are still wet, but I went ahead & posted as I did not want to miss the noontime deadline for uploading over at CAS-ual Friday. I'll cleanup the lines & fill in any gaps once it's dry; I know it won't look quite so messy then. My paper is from a huge Christmas paper stack from DCWV. I've had it for several years & still love it! Card-stock is real red and crumb cake from Stampin' Up (SU!) except the white is Neenah Solar White. My image which I fussy cut is from Unity's March 2012 Kit of the Month called Head to Soul. The word 'merry' is from SU! Pennant Parade stamp set. Lastly, the little star was cut from Champagne Glimmer paper with SU! new star punch, both from SU! Holiday catalog. The star punch comes with a mini tree & mini ornament. I hope you like my holiday creation. Have a great day! Hugs, Marilyn

Tweet-Tweet!

Hi Friends! Hope you are having a great week. My card for today was made for two challenges. The first is the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge 400. Wow! How did that happen? The challenge was to pick a sketch from the past, so I picked the very first sketch challenge that I ever played. It was SC126 as shown below. It is a very versatile sketch that is perfect for lots of cards, don't you think?

The second challenge is for the Basic Grey challenge #75 where "anything goes" this week. I used papers and stickers from the "Offbeat" collection. The stamps are a retired set from SU! called "Cheep Talk". Card-stock and inks are SU!- Bordering Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip.
Thanks for stopping! Hugs, Marilyn

Holiday Cardinal

Hi blogger friends! It's been a while for me; lots of contributing factors to my absence. Some good, some not so wonderful but thankfully none of the circumstances have been tragic. I do expect to have a lot more time for creating cards, scrapbook pages & maybe even some crafty projects every now & then.

Without further jibber-jabber, my card today is for two challenges from Splitcoaststampers. The first is the Sketch Challenge 399 from earlier this week as shown below. Love this one...very versatile. The second challenge is for the Inspirational Challenge where I chose this cardinal porcelain figurine from the selected website, Wind & Weather; the figurine is also shown below.

Obviously I substituted the dogwood for holly as I wanted to get started on my holiday cards. I added get a touch of crystal effects on the cardinal to give it a polished look. Thanks for stopping over today & I look forward to being more active in our stamping community & I am anxious to spend some time on your blogs seeing your wonderful creations.
